DEAD or ALIVE — Who will survive? The hugely popular soccer manga "Blue Lock" is finally being adapted into a live-action film!
The Japan national soccer team has long struggled with a lack of scoring power, and in order to break through that and aim for World Cup victory, a top-secret project was launched. Its name: the “Blue Prison (Blue Lock).” Here, what is required of the world’s best striker is not team play, but an unwavering ego and relentless obsession with scoring goals. Three hundred high school strikers gathered and, after surviving numerous trials, only the last one standing will become the world’s best striker. Meanwhile, those who are eliminated face the harsh condition of permanently losing their eligibility to join the Japan national team. Unknown high school player Yoichi Isagi (Fumiya Takahashi) eliminates 299 others and may become the ultimate ace striker who shows his own ego!?
