SOU・SOU’s Summer Kimono Style

‘Kabukimono’ is someone who finds pleasure in dressing differently from others. If there are ten people, there should be ten different ways to experience summer. The latest summer collection of ‘Kei-i’—traditional men’s kimono reimagined with a contemporary twist—is now available.

‘BORO’—fabric patched, layered and stitched together. We have captured its character in textile designs.

Long Fubi is characterised by its textured fabric. A basic modern kimono item for "Kabukimono.

‘Fubi’ is a samue-style characterised by its square sleeves. By undoing the ties, it can also be worn like a haori, offering a wide range of styling options. It presents a new take on traditional Japanese attire suited to modern everyday wear.

This ‘hanten’ is crafted from cotton lace featuring geometric pattern. Without lining, breathable design that offers a comfortable feel even in summer. Airy and cool.

We’ve put our own SOU・SOU spin on the ‘Jinbei Haori. With its clean, lapel-free design, it’s a cool and breezy summer kimono to wear over your clothes.

‘Enyūbaki’, named after the Meiji-era entertainer Sanyūtei Enyū. These skinny pants feature the uniquely smooth texture of chizimi cotton.

A paper fan created in collaboration with Hakuchikudō, a long-established Kyoto fan maker. The main ribs are crafted using an original design based on the ‘Onatsu-sen’—a type of fan traditionally used in temples.
