What is ‘SOU・SOU Shitsurai’…
This is SOU・SOU’s interior design range. ‘Shitsurai’ is a term originally used in the imperial court and in the tea ceremony, meaning to arrange a space so that it feels pleasant and inviting.‘SOU・SOU Shitsurai’ offers a range of interior items designed to add a touch of colour to everyday life, featuring textile designs that offer a pop take on traditional Japanese aesthetics.
・It is made in Tajimi City, Gifu Prefecture, a centre for ceramics production.
・It is ideal not only for your own home but also as a gift.
Regarding the Disclosure of demerits
※This product is a piece of pottery and porcelain in which a glaze with the texture of traditional Japanese earthenware has been applied to highly durable porcelain. During firing, subtle variations known as ‘koban’ may occur in the way the glaze fires, flows and takes on colour, due to differences in temperature and the position of the piece within the kiln. Furthermore, with crackle glaze, due to its nature, glaze pools and variations in colour intensity may occur, and unevenness or pinholes may appear.
※We endeavour to ensure the colours are as consistent as possible, but there may be slight variations in shade depending on the product.
※The clay used to make the pottery contains iron, which may appear as black spots on the surface once the pottery has been fired.
