・This gauze towel is crafted by Oboro Towel Co., Ltd., a company founded in 1908 (Meiji 41) in Tsu City, Mie Prefecture, Japan, that has remained dedicated to the art of towel making with a steadfast commitment to quality and craftsmanship.
・It is characterised by its soft texture, excellent absorbency and quick-drying properties.
・When folded, it can be stored compactly, is convenient to carry around, and doesn’t take up much space when washing.
【About Oboro Dye Gauze】
In 1908, the founder, Shōzaburō Morita, invented and patented a technique whereby only the weft threads are dyed, leaving the pile undyed. As the patterns produced by this dyeing method appear ‘hazy’, the technique came to be commonly known as ‘Oboro-zome’.
This is also the original design behind the gauze-backed towels that are so commonly seen today.

※Due to the dyeing process, there is a slight difference in color depending on the lot.
