・What is "Bi-color"?
It is a kimono design which was popular in the Azuchi Momoyama period, featuring a bi-color or bi-pattern design on alternate sides (left and right) or panels.
・Uses Chizimi Cotton 40/20 circular processed fabric from Sakao Orimono company.
"40/20" means a fabric woven with 40 count yarns in the warp and 20 count yarns in the weft.
About the texture: It is about the thickness of a shirt fabric that can be worn all year round.
(The higher the count number, the finer the yarn and the thinner the woven fabric is.)
・Akiha = the name of a vertically striped fabric that is created by changing the number of warp threads when weaving.

【About Chizimi Cotton】
・It has a long production history since the Edo period in Takashima City, Shiga-Prefecture, and is made from strongly twisted yarn which provides a sharp and creped touch.
・As the crepe texture minimizes the touching surfuce and lets sweats vaporize easily, sensible temperature is said to be minus 2 degrees.
・Excellent performances in Sweat absorbing · Quick drying · Air permeability · Hygroscopicity · Moisture release.
・Takashima chizimi cotton, which has benefited from the natural resources of Lake Biwa, boasts the highest production in Japan.
