Marugo Co., Ltd., a footwear maker with over 90 years of history, was founded in 1919 in Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture. In 1917, Marugo invented and began producing “sewn-type tabi shoes,” using rickshaw tires in the soles.

These are Marugo’s first domestically produced tabi shoes in 40 years. Made with high-quality domestic fabrics and soles, these are a completely new Heisei-era tabi shoes, celebrating the revival of domestic production.
