The samue jacket is a worker jacket that draws insipration from a person holding handle of a sword (takami).
・Made using Chizimi Cotton 20/10 Circulor washing-processed fabric by Sakao Orimono.
[20/10 = fabric woven using 20 count warp and 10 count weft yarn]
(Compared to the Circulor washing processed fabric for summer, it is about 1.2 times thicker.)
(The higher the count number, the finer the yarn and the thinner the woven fabric is.)
・Tie strings at the waist.
・An elasic band is applied at the back of the waist to create a slim silhouette.
・Pockets on two sides.
【About Chizimi Cotton】
・Produced in Takashima City, Shiga Prefecture, with a long history dating back to the Edo period. Strongly twisted weft yarn creates a distinctive crepe texture that feels cool and breathable.
・Because the textured surface reduces contact with the skin and allows moisture to evaporate easily, it is said to lower the perceived temperature by about 2°C.
・Excellent sweat absorption, quick-drying, breathability, moisture absorption, and moisture release properties.
・Takashima chizimi cotton, which has benefited from the natural resources of Lake Biwa, boasts the highest production in Japan.
