“Hasuyui,” inspired by the lotus flower,
is a design that combines the ease of use of a drawstring bag with the functionality of a tote bag.
The handles feature a traditional knotting technique known as the Agemaki knot.
The floral knot shape, reminiscent of flower petals, carries the meaning of
“wearing the vitality of nature,” and has long been cherished as an auspicious knot symbolizing wishes for happiness and prosperity.
In addition, the knot structure adopts the iri-gata form,
which is believed to invite good fortune inward.
This auspicious motif is also found in furnishings used at Shinto shrines.
