SOU・SOU provided costume support for part of the film Golden Kamuy: The Battle of Abashiri Prison, which was released nationwide in Japan on Friday, March 13, 2026.

Golden Kamuy (written by Satoru Noda and published by Shueisha under Young Jump Comics), the hugely popular manga series with over 30 million copies in circulation, is set in Hokkaido at the end of the Meiji era. This survival battle action story, centered around a high-stakes mystery over a vast hidden Ainu treasure and brought to life by a cast of uniquely compelling characters in the midst of harsh wilderness, has captivated countless fans. With its highly distinctive world, the series was long thought to be “impossible to adapt into live action,” but it was finally brought to the screen in 2024. The first film was a major hit, drawing more than 2 million moviegoers, and the drama series aired later that same year as its continuation was also met with great acclaim. Now, the “Battle of Abashiri Prison” arc—considered the conclusion of the first major part of the original story and the biggest battle in the series so far—will finally be portrayed on the big screen in all its grand adventure spectacle.
