「BORO」とは…
今から遡ること100年以上前、布が貴重だった明治時代。
庶民が着ていた着物や野良着、肌着、そして寝具まで、ボロボロにすり切れるまで使った後、さらにツギハギにして使う・・
何十年も、何百年もかけてこの作業を繰り返した衣類をBOROといいます。
今ではこの襤褸(BORO)はアートとして世界でその価値や魅力が認められています。
・この生地は襤褸(BORO)を京型友禅で再現しました。（ツギハギにはなっておりません）
・創業1950年の『坂尾織物』のサーキュラー生地を使用。
・SOU・SOUオリジナルテキスタイルです。
・薄手で涼しく、適度なシャリ感があり、高温多湿の日本の夏に最適な素材です。
・さらりとした肌ざわり。
・50cm単位にて販売しております。
【高島縮について】
・滋賀県高島市にて江戸時代の天明の頃より生産されている、よこ糸に強い撚りをかけた糸（強撚糸）を使用し、布面にシボとシャリ感を出した綿ちぢみ。
・シボがあるため肌につく面積が少なく、汗を点ですって面で拡散し、体感温度はマイナス2度と言われています。
・吸汗性・速乾性・通気性・吸湿性・放湿性に優れています。
・琵琶湖の恩恵を受けて育った高島縮は日本一の生産高を誇っています。
