＜What is Kurume Kasuri?>
A textile that was born in Kurume City, Fukuoka Prefecture in the late Edo Era. It is also designated as an intangible cultural property and a traditional craft. There are 30 processes from pattern making to seitan, each of which requires experience and skill, so it takes about two months to complete Fabric. Kurume Kasuri, born from great effort and perseverance, is widely loved for its simple beauty, and is used not only for Kimono but also for interior decoration and accessories in various forms.
