What is "Body Suits (Yaya Gurumi)"?
"Yaya" means newborn babies and "G(K)urumi" means wrap. "Yaya Gurumi"means a bodysuit for wrapping newborn babies.
・Uses Isemomen cotton, a traditional craft from Tsu City, Mie Prefecture.
・Hand-printed with Kyoto Stencil Yuzen Dyeing.
・Isemomen cotton handkerchief fabric gets softer and softer by washing. It is gentle and comfortable and is widely used in baby clothes.
・Snap buttons and a string are attached.
・"Kataage (Tucks at shoulders)" technique is applied on the shoulder part of the top.
What is "shoulder tuck"...
It is a wisdom of kimono where the sleeve length can be adjusted by making tucks at the shoulders. It also means "the person is still growing".
※As the child grows bigger, the sleeves can be made longer by modifying the width of the tucks, thus allowing the clothes to be worn for a longer time.
※This product is made of Isemomen cotton. Depending on the color, fluff may be noticeable, but it is a feature of the material.
※Due to the nature of dyeing process, uneven dyeing and color fading may occur.
