This haori features gathered ciffs, a design element once used in the formal attire of court nobles. The gathered sleeves allow for easier movement.
What is “Tan-i”?
It means short length in Japanese.
・This item is made from a wool mesh-weave fabric. ( a very loosely woven, lightweight, and thin material.)
・It is an outer without lining.
・Can also be worn on top of a kimono.
・Uses original decorative braids that are manufactured by Showen Kumihimo on the sleeves and the front.
・The sleeves can be adjusted by tightening the decorative strings.
