What is Kimono Top?
It was designed as an inner for naginata rectangular dress. Featuring Naginata kimono sleeve and a thin padded collar.
・Using Chizimi Cotton 40/40 embossed fabric made by Sakao Orimono.
"40/40" means a fabric woven with 40 count yarns in the warp and 40 count yarns in the weft.
About the texture of fabric: around the thickness of a light shirt.
(The higher the count number, the finer the yarn and the thinner the woven fabric is.)
・Hand-printed with Kyoto Stencil Yuzen Dyeing.
・It is a stretchy material that is easy to move in and comfortable.
・Can be worn alone or layered under other items.
※Pattern placement will vary from piece to piece due to the manufacturing process. Customers cannot specify the print.
※Since it is a Kyoto Stencil Yuzen (Hand-printed) product, there may be some deviation in shape, but it is a feature of dyeing.
※Due to the nature of dyeing process, uneven dyeing and color fading may occur.
※Products with the same color name may vary slightly in color due to different materials.
※As a characteristic of Kyoto Stencil Yuzen dyeing, the fabric is printed by repeating the stencil on a plain fabric. As a result, lines called "Katakuchi" may inevitably appear at places where the stencil joins.＞＞About "Katakuchi"
【About Chizimi Cotton】
・It has a long production history since the Edo period in Takashima City, Shiga-Prefecture, and is made from strongly twisted yarn which provides a sharp and creped touch.
・As the crepe texture minimizes the touching surfuce and lets sweats vaporize easily, sensible temperature is said to be minus 2 degrees.
・Excellent performances in Sweat absorbing · Quick drying · Air permeability · Hygroscopicity · Moisture release.
・Takashima chizimi cotton, which has benefited from the natural resources of Lake Biwa, boasts the highest production in Japan.
This is not a defect and can be fixed by cutting away the popped threads.

After washing, the garment will shrink horizontally due to the nature of the fabric. The original dimensions can be resumed by pulling on sideways before hanging it to dry.

・Please put it in a laundry net and wash by machine.
・Do not hand-wash. As the dehydration is weak, and the dye may start to dissolve in the water causing migration or bleeding.
・The same applies to soaking the garment.
・To avoid the risk of dye migration, please use a neutral detergent and hang dry in the shade immediately after washing.
・Do not wash with white or light color clothes.
・It is crepe-like fabric, please refrain from using the iron.
・Color may transfer during use or due to friction.
・Due to the nature of the fabric, it has a certain degree of elasticity. Please adjust the garment to its original shape immediately after washing without stretching the sewn part excessively.
・Do not tumble dry.
