A jinbaori is a garment worn by samurai on the battlefield.
“Kata-age” is…
Kata-age is a traditional sewing technique used to adjust the sleeve length (yuki) of kimono. It also carries the meaning of “still growing” for children.
・Made of 100% linen fabric, dyed with Kyoto Stencil Yuzen Dyeing.
・Linen is said to be the "coolest fiber" among natural fibers. It is a material best suited for hot and humid seasons.
・The shoulder and haori cords are made using specially commissioned braided cords by Shōen Kumihimo.
・The shoulder cords can also be tightened.
