What is "Okatabira" ...
An inner worn by noble class under formal dresses since the Heian period.
・The fabric is made from traditional Isemomen cotton fabric from Tsu City, Mie Prefecture.
・Hand-printed with Kyoto Stencil Yuzen Dyeing.
・Fully utilizes the width of handkerchief fabric.
・The collar contains a thin layer of padding.
・To prevent the neckline from gapping, a kohaze button is attached to the inside of the collar.

※As a characteristic of Kyoto Stencil Yuzen dyeing, the fabric is printed by repeating the stencil on a plain fabric. As a result, lines called "Katakuchi" may inevitably appear at places where the stencil joins.

【How to wash Kyoto Stencil Yuzen (hand-printed) Dyeing products】
・Please put it in a laundry net and wash by machine.
・Do not hand-wash. As the dehydration is weak, and the dye may start to dissolve in the water causing migration or bleeding.
・The same applies to soaking the garment.
・To avoid the risk of dye migration, please use a neutral detergent and hang dry in the shade immediately after washing.
・Please wash separately at the beginning.
・Do not wash with white or light color clothes.
・Color may transfer during use or due to friction.
・Iron with a pressing cloth.
・Due to the nature of the fabric, it has a certain degree of elasticity. Please adjust the garment to its original shape immediately after washing without stretching the sewn part excessively.
・Avoid tumble dry
