What is "Kyoto Ainasen"?Japanese has been familiar with wearing indigo since the Edo period. In the early Meiji era, it was also called Japan Blue, and the indigo color became a representative color of Japan. Contrary to soak dye which is regarded as the mainstream, "Ainasen", which uses natural indigo as a raw material and is printed by hand, is the world's first dyeing technique developed by Fujitasenen. Please enjoy the taste of indigo and the natural discoloration. ・The soft texture of raw white Isemomen Cotton "Bun" fabric is dyed with a beautiful finish of indigo. Please read before order ※This product does not have any individual packaging. A clear plastic bag can be provided upon request. If you would like to have so, please input "clear plastic bag required" in the "Remarks" column. ※Pattern placement will vary from piece to piece due to the manufacturing process. Customers cannot specify the print.※This item uses Isemomen Cotton. The fluffs on the surface may look obvious depending on the dye color. It is a characteristic of Isemomen Cotton.※Since we are using raw white Isemomen cotton without bleaching, the fabric is in its natural color. The black spots on the fabric surface are plant fragments that cannot be avoided during the production process. ※Japanese tenugui / handkerchiefs are often left un-hemmed at the ends to promote quick drying. There will be some minor fraying, but it will stop as you wash and use it. Please cut off the frayed threads if necessary.〈Example〉 ※Due to the nature of the material, there may be neps (knots in the fabric) and uneven weave which may cause color loss. 〈Example〉 ※There may be some uneven dyeing on the edge of the fabric due to the hand-print process.〈Example〉 ※Care Instructions ※Due to the nature of dyeing process, uneven dyeing and color fading may occur.※In rare cases, black dye may bleed due to sweats and other causes. It is recommended to wash it once before using it.※Machine wash in laundry net (wash separately for the first few times).※Do not tumble dry.※Please avoid hand washing and soak washing as they may lead to color transfer.
