SOU・SOU×Atelier Siesta's stop-motion animation collaboration “Japanesque Village Saijiki” is now available on DVD.
SOU・SOU, a shop in Japanesque Village, located just over two mountains from Onigiri Village.
In a little corner of the village, there is a charming shop called SOU・SOU, run by tiny, mysterious creatures known as Warabe. All year round, the villagers come to SOU・SOU to celebrate the changing seasons with magical Japanese traditions.
Come along and take a peek at the daily adventures of the trio: Haru, Hatsu, and Hana.

Winter – “New Year”
New Year has arrived in the Japanesque village! Colorful osechi dishes and warm ozoni fill everyone’s bellies.After the feast, it’s time for the traditional Fukuwarai game(Make-a-Face Game). May this year be full of smiles!It’s chilly outside, but let’s go fly kites and have some fun.
Spring – “Cherry Blossom Viewing”
A gentle spring breeze is blowing through the Japanesque village. The three Warabe pack their lunch and head to the village’s best cherry blossom spot. They stroll and chat along the way.Now, under the fully bloomed cherry trees, it’s time to open their picnic and enjoy!
Summer – “Teru Teru Bozu”
In the Japanesque village, it’s a rainy day. The sky pours lots of rain as summer approaches. During this peaceful time, the three Warabe make Teru Teru Bozu dolls and wait for the sun to shine.
Autumn – “Autumn Festival”
Today is the one-and-only autumn festival in the Japanesque village!
Villagers from the Japanesque village and their neighbors from Onigiri Village gather to give thanks for the autumn harvest and have fun together.
Masks and cotton candy, plenty of treats, and music filling the air, and in the end, let's all dance together.
May the coming year be blessed with abundance once again.
