■About the product What is "Square Top"? As the name suggests, it is a square shaped top. The design is based on "Kantoui" (a garment that opens a hole in the center of the fabric to let the head pass through) which was born in the Yayoi period. What is "Kumi" bi-color ? The design of pairing up two different colors or fabrics looks like "kigumi", the craft of jointing wood in wooden architecture in Japan, when viewed from the sides. ・Uses Chizimi Cotton 40/20 circular processed fabric from Sakao Orimono company. "40/20" means a fabric woven with 40 count yarns in the warp and 20 count yarns in the weft. About the texture: It is about the thickness of a shirt fabric that can be worn all year round. (The higher the yarn count, the finer the yarn and the thinner the fabric.) ・Akiha = the name of a vertically striped fabric that is created by changing the number of warp threads when weaving. ・No pockets. ※Products with the same color name may vary slightly in color due to different materials. 【About Chizimi Cotton】 ・Produced in Takashima City, Shiga Prefecture, with a long history dating back to the Edo period. Strongly twisted weft yarn creates a distinctive crepe texture that feels cool and breathable. ・Because the textured surface reduces contact with the skin and allows moisture to evaporate easily, it is said to lower the perceived temperature by about 2°C. ・Excellent sweat absorption, quick-drying, breathability, moisture absorption, and moisture release properties. ・Takashima chizimi cotton, which has benefited from the natural resources of Lake Biwa, boasts the highest production in Japan. The Circulor washing-processed fabric used in this product has elasticity (Stretch rate: approx. 120%), making it comfortable and easy to move in.
